NHL Stanley Cup Playoff Begin 2014

Justin Abdelkader's Stanley Cup

April 16 2014

  • TBD

Dream description:

Lord Stanley of Preston first put up the Stanley Cup to be awarded to “the championship hockey club of the Dominion of Canada” in 1893. No professional trophy is as old or perhaps famous. Since 1926 only teams that are members of the National Hockey League have been able to compete for the trophy. The path to possession of this famous trophy is grueling. After an 82 game regular season there are 3 rounds of playoffs culminating in the Stanley Cup Finals, a best of seven series with the first team to win 4 games gaining possession of the cup until the next season. The games are played on the home ice of the Eastern and Western Conference winners. The series begins in the home city of the hockey club that sports the best regular season record between these conference champions. After 2 games the venue shifts to the domicile of the opponent and continues in an alternating pattern game by game for the last 3 matches, if necessary. True hockey fans throughout the world dream of being in the assembled audience for a Stanley Cup Final. You can add attendance at one of these historic contests to your list and start making plans to complete that dream right away.
