Every season bring a different experience, can be very crowded in their summer.

One of the 7 wonders. A must visit site. Watch out for the uneven and steep stairs. Lots of look out points during the trek up. Not reccomended if you are afraid of heights. The stairs can get quite steep.

Seeing the Great Wall and China is a must.

You must visit all four sides the of the Grand Canyon, south most popular best view, east you will find a beach and the west you will find yourself on top the Grand Canyon viewing down from glass bottom

We rode the mules down to Phantom Ranch stayed in a cabin and rode back up the next day !!! One of the greatest times of my life !!!

Ride the train into the park, stay the night inside the park, get up the next morning and be on one of the points when the sun comes up.

North Rim is awesome

Swam with on off LA Bay in the Sea of Cortez, Baja. Just a baby so still need to swim with a big one.

The season to go in Cancun is June to September.

My new favorite thing to do in Napa is to go to Addendum and either eat in the beautiful Garden there or take my yummies to one of my fav wineries and enjoy my nibbles there.

My wife and I stayed a La Residence in Napa. Its WALKING distance from Don Giovanis' which is a HUGE plus after drinking all day.

I like staying in Yountville when visiting the Napa Valley. You are walking distance from several of the Valley's top restaurants (including the French Laundry) and there are several great hotels to choose from (many with a complimentary champagne breakfast!)

Don't be too ambitious when making wine tasting reservations. I have found that 2-3 good tastings in a day are plenty. I would recommend doing the winery's higher end wines at a sit down tasting - if possible. Once you have had the wines of 2-3 wineries you have had enough wine that you won't be able to judge the real quality after that point!

I was so excited to see the pyramids and we traveled overnight from sharm el sheik for the experience. It is magical when you get there and we have amazing pictures from it.

We spent 8 miraculous days in Egypt in September 2005. From the pyramids and Sphinx in Giza to Karnak Temple in Luxor and the Valley of the Kings and Queens, this is the best and worst vacation we've ever had. The only bad was the heat! We suggest traveling in maybe January or February. We four planned our own private tour with a fantastic agency out of New York and we were never disappointed except for the heat! It is intense; but, so are the wonders of Egypt. Our 8 days were filled with amazing sites and history from knowledgeable guides and even an Egyptologist professor. The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities in Cairo was magnificent and my words cannot do justice to a visit to this country. I just hope there comes a time when American travelers are safe again in that part of the world.

Another dream destination, when things get a little less violent.

French was my major in college and I've never been there!!

When you go to Paris do not try to see everything there is to see on one visit. Plan on returning in the future and pick out a manageable list to do and see

Amazing!!!!!! Spend the extra $$$ and get a Mayan guide! The wealth of information that they share with you cannot be replaced by simply walking around. These people are very proud of their culture and history and they give you a clear understanding of what life may have been like.

The place is huge and would take at least one whole day to thoroughly visit. There is so much information for each point of interest and it is highly recommended to have an experienced guide with you

I decided to spend a little extra money and booked the Special Access Stonehenge Tour with Astral Travels. They have a choice of Sunrise or Sunset tours and we chose the Sunrise. They picked us up at our hotel at 5:45am in a comfortable mini-bus. Our tour guide Louise was very pleasant and informative. After stopping at a roadside stop for coffee and breakfast, we proceeded to Stonehenge (about an hour's drive outside of London). Being able to take pictures of Stonehenge before visiting hours was key. Astral lets everyone take pictures of the stones before walking into them so that you get great shots of Stonehenge minus any people. Then they allow you to spend an hour walking amongst the stones while Louise explained some of the more pertinent aspects of the site. Champagne toast afterwards and then off to a short stop in Salisbury. All in all, it was a spectacular experience. We were back in London by 1:30pm. Highly recommended!

We purchased Special Access tickets to Stonehenge directly from English Heritage. It was a wonderful experience. We went in March 2006 and there were about 20 people there. The tickets are 12 GBP each.

Some day I will be able to see this.

The whole experience was tremendous. My own most enduring memories,are of the guides, porters and cooks who took us up there. Whilst I were struggling up with day packs, the porters and cooks were racing up carrying our main packs, together with tents, food and water. By the time we reached camp they had already pitched the tents and prepared a meal. In addition, as we entered the campsite, they greeted us with an African song and dance routine! This was followed by a sit-down meal that was always well presented and palatable (if only I had an appetite). How the cooks managed to prepare spicy chicken and chips at 4,600 meters remains a mystery to me.

Souvenirs: If you are like me and like to get a few souvenirs from your trip, I recommend getting things in Moshi rather than getting them in Arusha if you have the option. Smaller town, easier to navagate, a little more tourist friendly. The Tanzania soccer jerseys are pretty cool if you are looking for a gift for a boy.

I found my biggest enemy on summit day was not the altitude, but the almost unbearable cold. I have spent a lot of time in the cold and grew up in it. I know how to layer and what to wear. But this was a whole new level of cold to me. Take in to account, of course, your personal build and your track record with cold, but I would say plan for colder than you think.

This was an awesome trip and probably the highlight of my trip to Africa. The views, not only at the summit but along the whole trip were simply amazing. The culture of the mountain is so friendly and encouraging as well. As porters pass you, because this mountain is nothing to them, they are almost always positive and remind you to keep going. And I gotta say, reaching the top of a mountain is pretty great.

I spent three weeks in Peru and visited areas from the Amazon, amazing, to the Nazca Lines. We stayed at the "Inkaterra Pueblo Hotel" at the base of Machu Picchu...a 4 star hotel spa that was unbelievable! So worth the splurge!!

Altitude can be an issue. Cuzco is a good nearby town to spend the night acclimatingg before taking on an ambitious hike in Machu Picchu.

We went when we were living over in Australia - it was even MORE heavenly than I thought it would be. We had an overwater bungalow - just perfect.

Every bit as amazing as it looks, what a treat!

What a beautiful island!! The resorts are incredible. We stayed at Four Seasons and highly recommend it. Besides just relaxing we did the shark dive which was a great time. We also rented mopeds and round around the island. There was not a whole lot to see, so plan on staying at the resort most of your time.

NYC is an amazing city.

We only got to go for one day when we were up in the area visiting family. I really would like to go back for a longer time.

Beautiful place, but was SO disappointed when we were there if fall, Yosemite Falls was actually dried up! Go when the snow melts! Beauty everywhere, despite the falls.

The valley floor is just the gateway to wonderment! Get out and explore the wilderness

A crown jewel! Yosemite is amazing and yes, if you go during the summer and on a weekend it will be crowded but still amazing and breathtaking. This is a place everyone should visit. Aim for may-early July when the waterfalls are flowing heaviest. Once you see the valley don't be afraid to escape the other first timers and hit some trails. Hikes for all types. A true must see. Worth the detour if necessary.

Did not spend a lot of time there, basically just drove through but it was so, so, so beautiful! Want to go again.

Combine this with a visit to the Palantino

Can't wait to get to go.

The Colosseum is a must see if you visit Rome. Defiantly recommend a tour guide

Arrange to take a tour and short cut all the lines and find out more than the guide books can tell you.

This is my number one bucket list trip to go on

We couldn't afford the opera that was playing while we were there, but we did see a very good play - The Tempest - in one of the smaller theaters. It was lovely.

It looks not that big from the outside, but when you go inside its very big. The main theater is unbelievably large. With other smaller theater areas in it too. A place you must go and see when you are in Sydney

Make sure you take one of the tours of the Opera House.

Best time to visit is Oct - March and see it at sunset. So pretty

The beauty and tranquility of the Taj Mahal cannot be photographed or described. You simply have to go. It has beautiful gardens and is the most stunning and wonderful building, and is a monument to not only love but also to religious tolerance. If you get the chance to go, do so it is wonderful.

Would really love to go sometimes when tensions are not so high.

Went in June and weather was perfect for the walk through Petra.. The highlight is actually the Siq.. the walk through the mountains towards the Treasury was breathtaking

Ferry is ok, no need to climb up the stairs

Our family went in 2000. My son had a walking cast on his leg, but still was able to climb to the top with us - a memory for a lifetime.

If you do not want to go to the Island, take the Staten Island Ferry for a fantastic view. It's also a great view to go at night.

A must see but kind of disappointing. 22 stories up spiral staircases to get a view of New Jersey. Ellis Island is a must though. Fun and interesting. If you had family come through there you can track them down.

Check the local tourist magazines. There is a small boat operator that takes parties of 6 right up to where the lava hits the water. It was amazing to see the lava explode and feel the heat up close!

The best way to see the park is to go to the visitor canter...a fantastic museum and information center. Once there ask the park rangers for their opinion of what to do based on what is happening then. They conduct daily walks and naturalist programs..all free which are outstanding...

First time I was at a volcanoe. Landscape reminds you of another planet

Beautiful spot - would love to go back and spend longer than a day - this was a day stop on a cruise - the plumeria trees are stunning

Snorkel at Black Rock @ Sheraton Maui for Sea Turtles, Humuhumunukunukuapuaa and plenty of coral. Just walk right in from the beach.

The Napili area toward the north end of the island is my favorite place. Great snorkling!

The National Park service is an invaluable resource at Gettysburg. Go to the Visitor's Center the first day your are there and visit the Electric Map. It will help give you an idea of the scope of the battles.

This is one amazing place! What is going on under your feet at all times? Water bubbling, and spewing, mudpots boiling, A stay at Old Faithful Inn is a must! Lots of buffalo and elk. Go, if you can!

YELLOWSTONE! Have been there more times I can count on my fingers. LOVE it! Sort of scary to think this is a place where the earth is still forming... Will go there again and again... go there everytime we get visitors from overseas.

I was a first time visitor with my children last summer and it was an amazing adventure. I felt like I was on another planet. The scenery is unbelievable. I would definitely go back again!

Not much to say beside it's unreal to see these wonderful creatures underwater in the wild.

Puerta Vallarta in Mexico is a great place to do this. Combine with a snorkel trip.

My family kayaked off the beach to meet some dolphines off Cook's monument on the Big Island. They let my 7 year old son swim right up to them and touch them.

This is the most beautiful beach I have ever been to - the sand is soft and fine, the water is warm, calm and clear, it is very quiet and secluded

take a care and circle the entire island - you can stop at each beach and explore on your own time - so nice to get away from the busyness of Waikiki
